Current and future needs
The Association “Let’s Grow Old Gracefully” – Bucovina needs material and financial assistance in order to be able to support in its turn the social, medical, environmental and educational activities, as follows:
- For the financial support, we need USD 500,000.
- For the financial support, we need: 4 nurses with the possibility to travel, medical equipment, medicine, food, clothing for children and grown-ups, female, male and children’s underwear, linen and beds, shoes for children and grown-ups, computers, TV-sets, refirgerators, furniture and other long-term-use goods.
We have to be willing to help those in need. By helping those in need, we are helping God. Even our physical needs are important to Jesus.
Human beings are searching for the boundaries of creativity, for the riches of conscience and wisdom. Abraham Maslow (1908 - 1970) believes that the only reason that prevents people to move in that direction are the obstacles of the society. Education is one of these obstacles.
We should teach people that life is precious, that having various experiences is a chance to rejoyce, and if only people would look for the good and merry parts under any situation, that would add value to life. People need to learn that complete abandonment is bad, and that control is good. Trying to imporve life under any aspect is a form of control as well. We should teach people to get over minor problems and to concentrate more on the major ones in life. Such would be: injustice, pain, suffering and death.
