Chairperson
In our world, more and more people are confronting risk situations. Therefore, there is a more acute need of social cohesion and solidarity of those who see eye to eye on the future and of the principles that shall govern what we become. This is one reason why we have initiated the Humanitarian Association “Let’s Grow Old Gracefully” – Bucovina. Likewise, it was our wish to create a space for dialog and efficient actions regrding the quality of life.
The true success of humanity lies in its capacity to cast a new identity on the world that we live in, a world in which the sense of true value and respect to be acknowledged and treasured, a world in which every individual would take up responsibilities for themselves, for their families, for the community, aiming at social wealth and wellness. We trust that inteligence, creativity and the generosity of those who join us shall give a new dimension to charity and phylanthropy and that, besides “giving”, they will in fact help human beings “be” and “become” by their own selves, by opening up to knowledge and by performant use of the resources, for a better quality of their own lives and those of the next generations. The sense of belonging to a community with a clear mission and a clear-cut scope in all its actions, shapes up our efforts and gives confidence in our future. The activities of the Association are guided by means of certain programmes of a wide social range, from youth needing support for making their true call available, to persons lacking shelter and who need support in order to start again.
Personalities – business persons as well as cultural personalities – institutes and organisations both state-owned and private, have joined us so that together we might become a force of notable contribution towards “today” that everyone has acknowledged that it can be made better, and a better “tommorow”. Please be as kind as to allow us to count on your support and cooperation. The “LET’S GROW OLD GRACEFULLY” – Bucovina humanitarian association is run by a good person, whose main concern is that towards her fellows humans who find themselves in need and who live in the vicinity of Vatra Dornei, as well as other places.
An example of that would be that no sooner has she found out about the health and living conditions of the 33 elderly persons in the asylum located within the Saint Dimitrie Monastery, she is concentrating on the present and future material and financial support of those. Our lady chairperson is driving her life by the following principles: humanity, faith, reliability, honesty, kindness, trust and fidelity.
The responsibilities of the chairperson are:
a) to represent the Association in its relation with third parties;
b) to chair the General Meetings and the Board of Directors;
c) coordinate the activity of the Board of Directors and implements their decisions;
d) proposes the suspoending from its position of the Executive Director and presents the report of such to be voted by the Board of Directors;
e) has the power to suspend the decisions made by the Executive Director, if by means of such decisions the Association was injured.
For seriously founded reasons, the chairperson may appoint another person in the Board of Directors or the Executive Director to take up their responsibilities, for a determined period, being responible for the facts and acts of the appointed person.
My attitude was action itself! I trust that any problem our society may encounter is our own as well. And only when we start having an attitude towards things and to get involved, many things shall change to the better in Romania.”
