Our association is primarily humanitarian, in order to be there for our kins who find themselves in need, to understnd them so as to soothe – as much as we can – their physical or psychic sufferings. As we all are aware, children, grown ups, as much as elderly persons, encounter difficulties in their behavioural, educational, and even clothing relations with the rest of society, the latter usually rejecting them, casting them aside, and the worst of all, they are written off by means of totally inhuman gestures (insults, names called at them such as boschetar = deprecatory term for homeless, aurolaci = junkies). Having in view such highly critical facts, by means of the humanitarian character of association SIMIONESCU as vital aspect in fighting against such highly critical state of things, by means of communitary intra- and inter-areas programmes, by means of specific programmes of real public interest and coordinated by trained volunteers, members of the “Let’s Grow Old Gracefully” – Bucovina Association, as well as its immediate associations, hold as imperative the education of the civil society mentality by means of the non-governmental organisations and of the public local and state authorities so that by the concerted effort of those mentioned here, to eliminate, as much as possible, the outcasting, the social decadence of certain population segments, usually lacking any defence within the civil mentality.
We have tried to draw in upright individuals with mentality and solidarity towards those who are in need, those who are cast aside and those who are obscure relative to their professional structures, under a wide range of facets, from workers of intermediate education, students, psychologists, economists, legal advisors, persons with various medical training, engineers, technical staff, experienced medical staff. Our association is able to innitiate branches, representative offices and / or offices domestic and abroad.
The activity of the association is targeted primarily to poverty-stricken persons, despite age, sex and religious beliefs, in the sense of material, medical and educational help in view of achieving an adequate intellectual development of the child and of the family. The greatest asset of our association are its employees and its volunteers, thus encouraging teamwork, working in a highly professional environment, offering high-quality services to its beneficiaries who find themselves in need. In order to prolong and enlarge the range of programmes, the Let’s Grow Old Gracefully Association emphasizes on drawing in funds from the community and from all over, from benefactors and sponsors. The services our association provides are monitored by means of the collected information and the analysis of such in the proprietary managing and marketing departments of the informational system.
